This year a final exhibition of the beautiful work of the SintLucas students is on the program.

The CSI Eindhoven organizes the international Concours Hippique Eindhoven on Ascension Day 10 in May for the 26th year, of which Ladies Day will take an important stand.

During an intensive two-day masterclass, fashion designer and artist Ingeborg Steenhorst will teach you how to design and shape a theatrical Pagan / Steampunk-style headdress.
The masterclass will take place on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 April in the studio and showroom of Ingeborg Steenhorst in 's-Hertogenbosch. Saturday starts at 9.30 with a technical introduction and demonstration by designer Ingeborg. After the technical demo you go to work under full supervision of the designer and you create in two creative days your own unique headdress design in pagan / steampunk style.

From 2 September to 14 October 2017, artist Meta Leefkens and painter Anky Essink will exhibit their work in the Holstohus in Olst.
On Saturday 2 September 2017 the opening of this exhibition will take place at 16.00.
Meta Leefkens started braiding straw hats about 20 years ago. No ordinary straw hats but separate, unica, haute-couture hats. Then followed the processing of shoes with a certain hat. This created a nice combination, especially for exhibitions. With this exhibition she wants to give you a glimpse into the technique of straw braiding and the processing of this.

As part of the exhibition 'Skulptur Projekte Münster', hat designers worldwide can soon take part in a sculptural design competition.
'Skulptur Projekte Münster' is an art event that takes place every ten years in the center of Münster. Inspired by this event, hat designers worldwide are invited to deliver a sculptural hat for the 'Hut Skulptur' competition. All received hats will be exhibited on Saturday 10 September in gallery Kolja Steinrötter, also the winning designs will be announced this day.

From 8 May to 18 July Hanny Mallekote exhibits a collection of hats and hair accessories in Gemeentehuis Veere in Domburg.
Hanny Mallekote is hat designer and owner of the Hoed studio in Middelburg. She followed courses in textile work forms, various courses in the hat trade and master classes at home and abroad. She regularly exhibits in public buildings, galleries and museums.

From 23 in March 2017 the exhibition 'Chapeaux! to see Queen Beatrix's hats.
The 33 year-long reign of Queen Beatrix is shown on the basis of a hundred hats. The exhibition features creations by hat makers Harry Scheltens, Emy Bloemheuvel and Suzanne Moulijn, combined with images of the occasions when they were worn.
Scattered over 13 locations, 8 and 9 visitors can discover painting and sculpture, graphics, ceramics, jewelery, photographs, hats and glass art on XNUMX April.
One of the participants in Kunstroute Ridderkerk is hat designer Erna Wouters. The route is ideal for cyclists, but the locations are also easily accessible by car. The exhibition locations are recognizable by a banner with 'Kunstroute Ridderkerk' on it.

With this competition, the Rijksmuseum invites the public to be inspired by the Rijksmuseum collection, to download images of the objects and to use them for their own artwork. On 10 September, the 35 anniversary of Gerry Bos Bollen as hat designer 'het Hoedenpark' will be put into use.
Alderman Arjen Lagerweij will attend the official opening at 10.30 in the monumental garden of the Holthuis on the Burg. vd Feltzweg 1 in Twello.
Hat designer Gerrie Bos Bollen will provide a masterclass in making a theatrically designed hat, with the theme 'flower'. Bloemkunstenaar FloraFrits from Deventer provides the Masterclass of making flower arrangements in expressive forms, using materials from the garden.
The first show takes place at 11.00 hours and the second at 13.30 hours.
Furthermore, the monumental garden will be open this day for viewing.
During August you spend a week in manual techniques at the Crafts Campus in Drenthe.
From 17 until 21 August you will stay in Wilhelminaoord and become immersed in the world of crafts. Crafts Council Nederland is organizing this summer Crafts Campus for design and fashion students, professionals, and anyone who wants to learn more about a specialized technique at a high level. In this short, intensive course you will learn a lot about traditional techniques and new applications. The innovative character of the crafts is very good to use in new designs for fashion collections or design products.
Not only Dutch techniques are treated. An excursion is also made to China and Japan, and manual techniques are examined that have had a great deal of influence in the Netherlands.
Hat designer Marleen Mangnus will give a course on Hat Making techniques during the Crafts Campus, in which nature will be used as a source of inspiration.
From Friday 19 to Sunday 21 August 2016, Hawar organizes a hat weekend in Oldeberkoop (Friesland).
On Friday, the program starts with a lecture in which Marianne shares the story about her hat career, the many assignments she received and the collaboration with couturiers like Mart Visser. Of course she also takes a lot of her beautiful hats. After that it is possible on Saturdays and Sundays to make your own hats from felt and leather under the supervision of Marianne.
Commissioned by specialist shop Cappello, 3 hats makers have designed every 2 haute couture bicycle helmet for the Giro d'Italia.
The couture helmets are designed in connection with the start of the Giro d'Italia which takes place this year in Arnhem and Nijmegen. As a special and festive intro in Nijmegen 8 May between 10.00 hours and 10.30 hours 6 cyclists precede the peloton from the Burchtstraat (at H & M) to the starting point on the Grote Markt. They will then wear the specially designed special haute couture helmets. Then an interview with the designers takes place on stage.

Hospers Hoeden is proud to announce the first hat couture show by Alex Hospers in Overijssel.
The show is an initiative of author and event planner Marieke Pril, following the winning of the Fashion Night Award by Alex Hospers at 2014 during the FEIT's Fashion Night Enschede.
The show will be held on Saturday 7 May as from 20: 00 hours in the beautiful location of the Resort Bad Boekelo. There is room for 200 guests and access is free.
Signing up for this unique event is desirable because there is already a large number of places reserved because of the great interest in the show.
Artists, designers and architects associated with the Prinsenkwartier make a work inspired by the Vermeer street.
The works fit within the description 'my street'. That can be the imagination of their own street in Delft or a completely unique view of the street of Vermeer. One of the participants in this exhibition is hat designer Niki Bierling van den Berg.
The exhibition is on display from 3 April to 1 May 2016 in the Prinsenkwartier.
